There are three main categories of Recreational Vehicles (RVs): Motorized RVs, Towable RVs, and Conversion Vehicles. Each category has its own unique characteristics and subcategories, often referred to as types or classes.
Motorized RVs
Motorized RVs combine living quarters with the driver’s area in one convenient unit, allowing easy access between the two.
Type A
Typically the roomiest of all RVs
Luxurious amenities
Sleeps up to 6 people
Price range: $100,000 to $1,000,000 new
Appearance: Resembles a bus
Type B
Commonly referred to as camper vans
Drives like a family van
Sleeps up to 4 people
Price range: $100,000 to $250,000 new
Type C
Similar to Type A but generally smaller
Optional sleeping space above the cab
Sleeps up to 8 people
Price range: $80,000 to $300,000 new
Appearance: Looks like a truck with a cab-over section
Towable RVs
Towable RVs are designed to be towed by a family car, van, or pickup truck. They can be unhitched and left at the campsite while you explore with your vehicle.

Capable of going wherever your truck can go

Conversion Vehicles
Conversion vehicles are standard automobiles modified by specialized companies for added comfort and recreational use. These modifications may include windows, carpeting, paneling, seating, and other amenities. Ideal for RV tow vehicles, conversion vehicles are typically sold by auto dealers rather than RV dealers.
